Sorry for the delay in our end-of-season message. Before strawberry season ended, we jumped right into barley harvest, and getting the strawberry patch ready for next year. The farming never stops! We also took time to celebrate with our amazing pickers from Jamacia after a busy and fruitful season by taking them on a trip to Niagara Falls. Later in the week we enjoyed a Jamaican meal prepared by one of our long-term pickers. It was delicious! as the last berries are picked and the fields grow quiet, we want to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone — from first-time visitors to longtime customers and friends — who supported us this strawberry season. We truly love the hustle and bustle on the farm, when everyone comes out to enjoy our berries. Whether you picked your own, stopped by our strawberry booth, or shared kind words and photos, your support means the world to us.This season came with its fair share of challenges and weather surprises, but your patience, smiles, and enthusiasm made it all worthwhile. Farming isn’t always easy, but a community like ours makes it meaningful every single day. We’re already exited and dreaming of next year’s berries — sweeter, juicier, and grown with even more love. Next year will be 50 years that our family has been growing strawberries. Until then, we hope you enjoy every last jar of jam, frozen bag, and berry-stained memory from this season. A big thank you also goes to our amazing staff and family that made this season a success. You all did a great job and we could not have done it without you. With gratitude and appreciation we acknowledge you guys.

Serve and enjoy – This is the quickest dessert you will ever make and it tastes great. Kids love it!
Also great over pancakes, waffles or ice cream or put in popsicle plastic containers for a healthy snack for kids on a hot summer day.
Note: For popsicle you may want to add a bit more sugar, maple syrup, milk or whipped cream)

When you are ready to use the frozen berries, thaw the berries and puree them in a food processor for a few minutes. ( Pureed Strawberries taste and look like fresh)
OPTION 2
Another way to freeze Strawberries is to wash and hull the berries and then lay them on a baking sheet (single layer). When the Strawberries have been fully frozen, remove the Strawberries from the baking sheet and put into Ziploc bags soon without letting them melt again. This way you are able to take out single berries whenever you need them. Small single frozen Strawberries are nice to use in Chocolate Fondue.
Note: Single frozen Strawberries will have same consistency when thawed than “Ziploc frozen Strawberries”, except that they can be separated if frozen single on baking sheet.
